This project was inspired by a short story. The foundation of the design is an illustration of a bird falling from the sky. At the top of the cover, the bird is depicted in full color and detail, but as it descends chronologically toward the ground, it progressively loses detail and color. By the time it reaches its final resting place, it is nearly colorless and devoid of detail, symbolizing lifelessness.
The bird's descent is illustrated in different phases, representing the protagonist’s gradual loss of control. Overall, the design visually conveys the character's disconnection from reality, spiraling toward an uncertain fate that hints at the possibility of death.
The illustration and vectorization techniques were intentionally chosen to align with the ambiguous and unsettling tone of the story. Since the protagonist’s fate remains unclear to the reader, the combination of detailed and abstract elements works harmoniously to deepen the narrative’s meaning and evoke a strong emotional response from the viewer.
