For this project, I created a book influenced by the work of Alexey Brodovitch, the legendary art director of Harper’s Bazaar. Inspired by his innovative approach to editorial design, I focused on key principles such as working with a grid, designing in spreads, and emphasizing the rhythm between photography and expressive typography.
To personalize the project, I incorporated my passion for handcrafted elements by weaving a continuous, illustrative line throughout the book. This line acts as a visual guide, leading the reader from page to page while enhancing the photography and adding narrative depth.
By merging Brodovitch’s modernist ideals with my own illustrative style, I aimed to create a dynamic, cohesive visual experience that feels both structured and fluid. The result is a book that pays homage to Brodovitch’s legacy while reflecting my unique design voice.
